On September, 19 the Open Conference Tour to the Future City takes place at the ’Skolkovo’ Innovation Center. The participants will be introduced to the most effective technologies for the creation and strategies of development of the innovation cities all over the world as well as to the secrets of new residents’ engagement and design of the friendly environment for innovations.

The ’Skolkovo’ Innovation Center provides a good example how the idea, seemed almost utopia, has been gained the real features for the last few years. The ’Skolkovo’ experience could help to identify what innovative ideas, cultural and social initiative would survive and transform into the specific infrastructure and environmental objects.
Intellectual assets and creative environment – are the key elements of the innovation development. From abstract projects to the real city of future. Current practice and future innovation environment. The opinions and presentations by the leading Russian and world experts.
The format of the conference tour incorporates the discussion sessions in the Hypercube halls with the guided tours around the objects of IC ’Skolkovo’ (the largest in Europe Technopark, residential areas, multifunctional complex Matrix, etc.) The participants have a chance to see the evolution of new Russian territory of the "groundbreaking" development, its local companies and the factors, attractive for the residents of IC ’Skolkovo’ of today and tomorrow.
Among the speakers of the open discussions there are heads of the innovative regions and cities, top-managers of corporations, researchers and ’Skolkovo’ residents.
Three sessions of the open conference tour are focused on the strategies of innovative cities of the 21st century:

Dialogues-presentations of the new innocities projects and centers for innovations of the 21st century. Knowhow and the range of solutions: from challenges to competitive positions.
- New City Reality: Creating an Environment for Innovation
The discussion is dedicated to the urban development and quality of life as the key factors of competitiveness: solutions and practices.
- Innovation Management
Expert views, including sociologists, cultural experts and historians on the value of the social and cultural factors, affected the innovation production.
Also the conference will feature the presentations ’Technologies for the Future of the City’: the projects and start-ups of the IC ’Skolkovo’ residents in the PechaKucha format.
The conference is open to all interested parties, and foremost to the representatives of business and authorities, urbanists, architects, sociologists, kulturtraegers, professionals and experts in the technology park management and other areas of the innovation development and in the matters of urban development and innovation management.
